The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to provide a loan of Rs 2,391 crore for the Cauvery Phase 3 project to provide water to 110 villages added to the boundaries of the BBMP.

The agency signed a loan agreement with the BWSSB to finance the project, which also includes the provision of sewer services and the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants.

In a statement, JICA Chief Representative Saito Mitsunori said that in addition to providing safe and reliable water supply, the project will provide the BWSSB with an opportunity to review and develop a new water management plan. business to ensure sustainability.
